I haven't been around my computer for ages, I'm sorry for no blog posts!
I've just been very busy these last few days.. University started this Tuesday and it was a complete mess. Too many people packed into a building = extreme heat and sweating!! After the sweat fest I rushed off to an information meeting about my new class, and then realised I had to be two places at the same time.

Obviously that doesn't work, so I had to decide. I went to one of the info meetings and emailed the other teacher responsible for my second class.
After that interesting day at school I went home and relaxed with my boyfriend. We've started our diet plan this week and so far so good! I thought it would be really hard but I'm actually coping and kinda enjoying it too. As well as the healthy diet we walk for about 45 minutes every day and I also do my hula hooping for 5 minutes every evening (between TV commercials!). I'll measure my waist on the 1st of September to check whether one month of hula hooping each day makes a difference of not.
The other thing in my life at the moment is settling into uni, establishing good study habits (yeah right) and working. When I lived in Norway before Belfast I was a substitute teacher at one of the local primary schools and I enjoyed it very much. It's good money for a student, great experience for a teacher to be and also, it keeps me busy. I only have uni two days a week this semester, meaning I would spend three days at home every week staring at the TV getting bored. Not good!! Therefore I talked to the school and they were more than happy to have me back, yay!
Today I worked 5 hours and tomorrow 4 hours. It's not much compared to what other people do, but it's great fun and easy money for a student (who's desperate to buy a
Rockalily lipstick!!).
I can't wait to get to know my pupils a bit better. Right now I'm the weird lady with the red hair interrupting their classes every now and then, and I have no idea about their names or anything. Hopefully that'll change quick and we can get along well. I wanna share the top three quotes from pupils today (all about my hair!):
- "Did you know that you have red hair?" - No I didn't. I've been walking around thinking I was blonde.
- "Wow she's got red hair!" - Oh really?
- "Is that a wig?" -
NO FOR CRYING OUT LOUD IT'S MY F****** HAIR! IT'S REAL! (I did not say that, just simply "no, it's my real hair" and then smiling like the sweet girl I am).
Cute kids!

Okay enough teacher talk and busy me yadi yadi ya. I wanted to say
THANK YOU to all of you lovely people commenting on the pictures from my new flat. I am so happy with it myself and I'm glad that other people likes it too. I would invite you all for tea and cupcakes.....but I'm on a diet and my flat's isn't really
that big.. sorry.
The thing I can do though, is to show you my new planner! I am addicted to my planner when I'm in uni. Can't live without it!! I bought a standard boring black one, but since I'm not the standard boring person so I decided to make it my own.
Vargas style.
Preparation:
I have a Vargas calendar and didn't really know what to do with the pictures.. you can rip them off day by day. I haven't ripped them off and now my calender broke in two, so I had no other choice than ripping them off and doing something clever with them.
Here's the front of my planner. I placed the pictures where I wanted them to be, used a bit of tape to make sure they didn't move during the contact paper process and BAM! The name tag is a little piece of paper saying "Domestic Diva" and I got it from a good friend of mine :)
Here's the backside of the planner. Same procedure as last year Miss Sophie.
(Got a bit carried away there, sorry).
What do you think? I think my planner is the planner of all planners!
Hope you're all good and happy, and thanks for reading my blog and commenting. Don't forget to check out my Facebook page or my Twitter!
